Cover-Industrial Fluids
Galvanizing, anodizing, and electroplating equipment, as well as numerous other industrial applications, work with chemical liquids that seem impossible to cover. This is generally because the dipping techniques - used to apply surface coating to parts, for example - make it impossible to apply a solid covering layer over the tanks. The "covering" hinders the operation of the automatic machine line and the movement of parts in and out.
To ensure the effective operation of the plants, the tanks for chemical liquids are generally not covered. Although this allows the machine line to operate unhindered, it brings with it a number of disadvantages.
What are the consequences if an industrial fluid is not covered?
The chemical liquids used in such applications are usually hot and therefore subject to significant evaporation. If the liquids are not covered, nothing can prevent dangerous gases, mists and unpleasant odors from escaping into the environment, requiring the installation and use of high-performance extraction systems, which entails both significant investment and monthly overhead costs. At the same time, heat loss is another factor that drives up heating costs.
Therefore, uncovered liquids cause significant additional costs for companies, even though there is a simple and extremely effective solution.
Covering liquids is important and far from impossible!
Although a rigid cover is not an option for most installations, the option to cover the liquid is still possible. There is an alternative solution!
Just think of industrial balls. The covering layer formed by the balls is a flexible system that does not require compromises because it does not interfere with the technology used.
How do the industrial balls serve as a covering layer?
When a sufficient number of balls are placed on the surface of a liquid, they arrange themselves next to each other and cover 91% of the surface. The layer of balls isolates the liquid from the environment and significantly reduces their interaction. In addition, this is achieved without hindering the inward and outward movement of parts and without getting in the way of other tools and machines (e.g. pumps).
Ball covers offer a variety of advantages!
The top layer of balls forms an excellent thermal insulation barrier, enabling energy savings of up to 75%. In addition, the evaporation of high-temperature fluids is reduced by 90%, so there is no loss of energy, time or material when refilling the fluid.
The use of a ball cover provides a safer working environment and helps prevent accidents caused by liquid splashes. In addition, reducing the release of gases and vapors with unpleasant odors into the air contributes to a healthier and more pleasant working environment without the need for powerful extraction systems that would be costly to install, operate and maintain. Demister ball covers are also a perfect solution for preventing acid mist.
Our balls provide a permanent solution for covering liquids for years to come, without significant investment or maintenance!
