The company Alfred Schütze GmbH was looking for a high-quality solution for level indicators that was compatible with a wide range of liquids. Due to the unknown media in the customers' containers, a particularly durable material selection was required.
Problem
Alfred Schütze GmbH needed a ball for its level indicators. The challenge was that it is often not known which liquids the end customers are storing in the containers. The balls therefore had to be made of a material that is resistant to a wide range of media, including aggressive chemicals such as acids.
Solution
Our hollow plastic spheres made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) offered the ideal solution. PVDF is characterized by an exceptionally high resistance in various media and can withstand even high concentrations of acids better than polypropylene (PP) or HDPE. The hollow spheres from EURO-MATIC also float on a variety of liquids due to their low density.
